About Teppanyaki :

Teppanyaki is a style of cooking originally conceived in Japan by Misono restaurant chain in 1945. This cooking style was introduced to the US in 1964, first in New York City, then spread to other parts of the country. Teppan means iron plate, and yaki means grilled. At Kobe Seafood & Steak, we strive to reinvent the experience with our skilled chefs searing your meal to perfection right in front of your eyes using the choicest meats, scrumptious seafood, and garden-fresh vegetables.

Sake is a Japanese rice wine that is brewed from polished rice grains. Although called a rice wine, sake’s fermentation process is more similar to beer than wine. However, sake’s flavor and alcohol content is more like that of grape wines. Typically people enjoy sake, because the light, refreshing taste of sake pairs well with Japanese cuisine. Also, unlike other alcoholic beverages, sake is free of sulfites and hangover-inducing congeners (impurities formed during fermentation).

Below are some general characteristics of different types of sake to help you select the right one for your palate and food pairing.
